Canadian dollar is the official currency of Canada with the code CAD. It is subdivided into 100 cents.

In circulation are banknotes of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 1000 dollars, and since 1996 the Canadian government has taken out of circulation 1000 dollar banknotes with the aim to restrict money-washing.

Coins in circulation are 1, 5, 10 and 25 cents, 1 and 2 dollars.

Canadian dollar was the seventh most traded currency in the world.
